Trick or Treat

I recently won the blog candy over at Inge's blog: PinkePinke.  The prize was a tag and 5 inches she made.  They are absolutely FAB!  Here is a pic of what I have done with them:

Flashback...........from Christmas 2007 actually!!

What fun little flashback here---inspired by Flashback Friday 4.0.  The challenge there is to 'repost' the earliest Christmas card you ever blogged.  Well, mine goes way back to 2007 (although I didn't get around to blogging it till early 2008).  Anyway, you have to repost it currently and at their website link it to your original post.  Fun to see how your style and skills have changed.  I always do a photo card but that year I actually did a card and added a printed photo.  Yes, my style and photography skills are vastly different but, all in all, this card still brings special memories to me...........

Along came a spider..........

Another fun Halloween creation.  Don't really care for spiders too much but this card was fun to make.  followed the sketch over at Sketches4u for their Scariest Halloween Card contest

I know, my card is not all that scary but to me it is due to the icky spider thing.  Anyway, other than the sketch and theme you also had to add bling so I added the sparkly ribbon and stamped the sentiment w/my glue pen and added purple glitter for more bling.

I am also going to add this to the Drunken Stampers challenge and for Dezinaworld, both challenges being Halloween.

I guess I most probably am done crafting for the day as we are going to be off shortly to the kids' Fall Festival at their school.  Then, maybe a nap?!? (should I, could I dream???)

Supplies/tools:
**Distress Ink:  Peeled Paint and Dusty Concord and Black Soot
**ribbon from my LSS and sparkly ribbon (both manufacturers unknown)
**acetate spider overlay by Recollections
**dp by Basic Grey
**Martha Stewart border punch
**Sentiment stamp by SU!
**purple glitter by SU!

Have a wicked Halloween

"Charm"ing Anniversary

Can you guess what anniversary we are celebrating this year??? Love numbers, don't know why............And, as the Design Divas know, there is something about me and text---specifically what text ends up in my projects without purposely choosing. So I have to share about the picture. I used an old book as a background for the card to photograph it. I just randomly opened it up and put it down on the table with the card placed on top. As soon as I looked down I realized that it was opened to chapter 13. Simply unbelievable, yet no unexpected with my past experiences. Anyway, fun night planned with the hubby............

I am, of course, entering this card in CCC#17: Fragment Charms. This challenge is put on by the Lovely Linda L. over at StudioL3 She is a very busy woman doing some other wonderful things like a blog hop to support a fellow crafter/blogger's journey with Breast Cancer. If you haven't seen Linda's work or not familiar with her blog, you need to take a peek (preferrably when you have time to peruse awhile, you'll want to check out all that is there!)
Also, I would like to enter this in Papertake Weekly's challenge: 3 of a Kind. I figure, I have the number 13 on there 3 times, that counts, right?! And The Artistic Stamper:  Layers

Happy Birthday Matthew!

Made a fun card yesterday with Sheryl. Her son's birthday was yesterday so, drawing from my 'pieces' pile, I whipped this card up. Had a lot of fun making it. Didn't turn out at all what I had envisioned making him but I love it just the same!
I am entering it in the Cards for Men Challenge blog---the current challenge being birthdays. Also, I am having a go at the ATC challenge for Fun With ATCs challenge blog: Writing on your ATC. I actually attached my ATC to a card---I hope that still qualifies.
And now for the supplies/tools list:
