CCC#29 Weathered Wood Grunge/Take a Word: Vintage Challenge

Okay, so I didn't go with the weathered wood look here, but I did use the technique!  This is for the CCC#29 over at StudioL3 blog hosted by the wonderful Linda Ledbetter! And also for Take a Word Challenge Blog: Vintage  Started it last night and finished it up this a.m.  I really had no idea what I was going to do other than use the grunged techniqued keyhole as the main accent.  It is amazing what you can come up with when you start looking through your stash.  Didn't even know I had this picture of a lady on text paper---found in a stack of vintage papers by friend Sheryl had shared with me.  Worked perfect in the keyhole.  Got to use my new washers from Tim Holtz Idea-ology line.  Added the key from Lost and Found.  And, of course, that is more tissue tape from Tim Holtz as well.  Used sage acrylic paint and Tea Dye Distress ink for the technique.  Then used Shabby Shutters Distress Ink for the rest of the card.

Inchie to ATC to Tag!

Made this up for the challenge blog DragonsDream Tag It On.  This week's challenge is 'Face the Music'.  You can interpret the theme anyway you want as long as you incorporate it into a tag.  Also for Let's Ink It Up challenge:  Anything goes.  This particular project was an evolution.  From a simple technique done to create an inchie then added to an ATC.  And now the ATC is part of my tag here.  If you want a closer look at this evolution double click on my blog header and this will allow you to scroll down to my earlier posts.

CCC#28: Colorful Fragment Layers

It wouldn't be Sunday without my last minute contribution to the CCC.  Here is CCC#28 on Linda's blog:  StudioL3.
Did a quick little inchie with the technique.  Then, added it to an ATC for a couple other challenges: Weekend ATC Challenge:  Not Cute and Order of the Opus Gluei: Key to my Heart.

Had some fun making a ruffle using Tim's music tissue tape.  Colored the white lace on bottom with some Barn Door Distress Ink.  The background Music stamp is by All Nite Media.  Face stamp by  Hampton Art.

Every Inchie Monday: Caring

Okay, my first attempt at this challenge.  Just recently challenged to do an inchie project.  Completed it only to find I wanted more.  Searched for and inchie challenge blog and found Every Inchie Monday.  This week's theme was Caring.  Mine is really simple but done to attach to another project.  Used Tim Holtz' technique--Colorful Layered Fragments.  Click on my blog header for a more recent post to see the final project as it will be the next post I make.

Pay it Forward

Okay, so I just came from Vintage Figments blog.  She is playing a fun New Year's game: PIF.  While she admits it is not a new concept she wants to have some fun with it.  I entered a comment on her blog to receive something handmade from her in return for posting the same proposition on my blog offering 5 others the chance to comment here and receive something handmade by me sometime within 2011 and posting this offer on their blog for 5 others.  Get the picture?

Here are the rules:

I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this status, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade (or homemade) by you and it must be sent to your 5 people some time in 2011.

I am intrigued to see who will post on my blog to receive something handmade by me and to continue the PIF!

READY, SET, GO!!!!!
